Introduction to AOL 2.0 for your Palm handheld

AOL for your PalmTM handheld is an application from America Online that lets you use your Palm handheld to access your e-mail from remote locations. All you need is a Palm OS handheld and a wireline or wireless connection. With AOL for your Palm handheld you can:

  • dial into any AOL access number, with any screen name.
  • send and receive e-mail messages online, directly from your handheld.
  • save received messages for offline perusal.
  • compose messages offline, and then send them later when you are online.
  • send and receive instant messages.
  • set up your Buddy List and exchange instant messages with your online buddies.

You can also use your other Palm handheld functions while you are online with AOL.

AOL is a stand-alone application for your handheld. You do not synchronize it with data from your AOL desktop e-mail application. The Palm HotSync® technology is used only to install AOL, and to back up AOL data from your handheld to your desktop computer.
